Maintaining a strong campus culture sets the foundation for student wellness, retention, and academic achievement. Building and nurturing that culture requires long-term, ever-evolving strategies to meet each student where they are.

In this webinar, Nash Community College (NCC) will share how they strengthened their campus culture by integrating data-informed, holistic support systems across campus, designed to empower students and bolster success initiatives. Learn about their on-site, full-service Student Wellness Center, featuring licensed mental health services, a collegiate recovery program, and basic needs assistance. The center also includes their Success Network of success coaches dedicated to fostering student well-being. Plus, they’ll share how they built multimodal strategies to advance equity and inclusion, generate enrollment regrowth, and increase persistence and retention.

You’ll explore:

  • Correlations of student basic needs, mental health, and success capacity.
  • The applications of SAMHSA's Eight Dimensions of Wellness in a higher ed setting, which created a student-centered culture shift at Nash Community College that they call “Blue Love.”
  • Specific trauma-informed approaches that have led to resilience-building and academic success that you can adopt on your campus.
